Looking at the center of attention Quintan closes his book once again finding this match to pique his interest. He began to get a bit hungry though so he reached in his bag pulling out a bag of chips to munch on while the fight as on display. Or more correctly "spar" was on display.

Hm, the shy gamer is about to fight, I've gotta watch this one. Though I know nothing of her opponent, he doesn't look like a pushover though. Welp, can't judge on appearance let's see how things turn out.

Insight *a whiff of silver flame burns the kanji for insight into Phearis' forehead, as he closes his book, anyone who looks at his eyes would notice their glassed over appearance* hmm i sense 5 different consciences on the battlefield....those 2 are really interesting creatures...

Meru smiles as her expression changes to a serious one.
"Witches naturally don't like demons...you are meant to shine our shoes..." her voice became serious as well.
Meru drew her whip and maneuvered it to hook his ankle as she tossed him into the air and froze time for a moment to appear above him as she did a flip before heel kicking him back down to the ground at full force as time resumed as soon as her body made contact with his.

I have to say mean things...in order to fight...
or else it just...feels wrong...
Hush hush, it's nothing serious. And that is what demons are for.

"Hahahahaha... HAHAHAHA! So much distain towards demons... didn't anyone tell you we're no demonswe're much worse... we're your freakin nightmare!"
-After landing hard to the floor, Noboru gets up andbrushes his shoulders off and cracks his neck. As he stands his aura begins to fluxuate changing colors and intensity from gold, to red to green, to blue, and to black and returns back to gold with red tints.
"Fine then."
-Noboru appears behind Meru and wraps his arms around her tightly and suplex's her neck first into the hard ground

Meru stares blankly ahead as she predicts your movement and side steps as you grab the air and she appears behind you.
"Hmm...nice try..." her hands caress Noboru as she inhales deeply.

"Step 1 check," Meru touches the ground quickly as she puppeteers it, lifting the earth itself and wrapping it around you like a tight blanket as she then flings you across the field with her psychokinesis and claps, causing the earth to squeeze and break from it's hold around you as you make contact with the ground.

KosMos: *he glances to the side noticing the little bird*
Nebuleuse: ah seems a little birdy has made it...Damien eh? he's on of the new ones joining us next class...
KosMos: very well...

Phearis: a heavily guarded conscience...and so my fun increases...*he returns his attention to the to battlers* Meru is still apprehensive about fighting but it seems she her other conscience guides her...

-As Meru prepares toencase Noboru in earth he mutters the words, "Ketsueki shīrudo."As the earth prepares to encase him, a great Red barrier incircles Noboru.
As the ruble and red material clear, it reveals nothing there but rocks covered in a thick red liquid.
"Not bad... but forgive me for this," as he says this, Noboru grabs Meru's throat and lifts untill she is off the ground and thrusts his fist into Meru's abdomin upward as he slams her into the earth leaving a crater 15 meters wide

Oh the joys of being an empath.

As Jack's eyes glowed, he tried focusing on the emotions of the people in the ring. He was then buffeted with a plethora of emotions from both of the people, more noticeably Noboru. Almost like a whole bunch of people in that ring, even though there's only two...

Looks like Meru had some backbone after all. And that whip...the release mechanism was that phrase...he wondered if she could summon her weapon without that phrase. Interesting.

Also, she confirmed his theory on her ability to manipulate time. He still hadn't figured out how to avoid it, but she WOULD slip up and reveal her limits. Not that he intended to hurt her, he was just extremely curious.

Then there was Noboru...the wild card. He had enough emotions to fill 3 people, which lead to Jack thinking of multiple personalities...unlikely, but considering this school, possible. And the aura colors only supported his theory.

Meru...the once shy girl, now talking trash and copping a feel on a co-worker? Did both of these fighters have multiple personalities? That'd make sense though, they were grouped for common traits... Phearis and himself were empaths, these two most likely had personalities inside them.

It was all so intriguing.

Meru accepts this attack and sits up in the crater as she spits some blood to the side and begins to laugh hysterically.
"Really? Chivalry and pity in battle?" she dusts herself off as she wraps her whip around his ankle yet again, making him fall, as she presses the heel of her shoe, a blade, on his throat as it pierces his flesh.

"Your manners will be the end of you," her eyes glowed a golden yellow as she lifted him with her psychokinesis, gripping at his throat as she moved her other hand, grasping at the air, but leaving marks on his flesh similar to that of a voodoo doll.

"I want to watch you gasp your last breath you pitiful creature..."
"Meru" freezes time in a radius as he's slowed down and she slips something in his mouth, forcing it to go down his throat.

Meru then roundhouse kicks him across the face and appears behind him, upper cutting him as time returns to normal state yet again.

Quintan begins focusing intensely on the battle because the battle itself was extremely intense. Quintan has seem some intense fighting before but this kind of fighting was nothing he'd seen. The battle had just begun and the ground has already been tearing apart. Quintan was asking for a quick battle and if he got matched up with one of these two people he'd surely be witnessing a quick battle. As he watched something struck him and made him aware of Meru. The shy gamer surely isn't shy now. Quintan knew though there was more to learn about her. And that Noboru, what was that red wall? It looked a bit sickening to look at it seemed similar to.. Ugh, clear that thought.

Hm, gee if this how these two guys are fighting, which by the way they never looked capable of being so dangerous, I wonder how harsh my opponent will be in battle. Man I didn't think I would actually start disliking this class, I was actually enjoying you can pretty much sit back and relax for a good time. Until your turn to "spar" is up.

Hm?! Again with this... I thought Phearis was taking it too far. But Meru, is she really trying to kill this guy?

Quintan did have a fear about this sparring thing though, and this was exactly it. Not everyone knew everybody and if two strangers got chosen to "spar" with each other, they might go too far. Meru can't possibly want to kill this guy. Well, if anyone was good at reading people's mind it was Phearis.

Hey! Phearis mind coming up here and sitting with me for a bit?

-As the blade pierces his throat, Noboru lets a wicked smile spread across his face.
"Hehehe. Lovely. I can taste this useless steel in my mouth. I see you'd prefer me to just fight without conscience.. so I shall."-Noboru manipulates gravity... upon Meru's clothes, leaving her exposed and embarassed and with that opening Noboru launches his barrage of fists that are covered in red spikes and throws her to the ground spitting up blood

hmm...*appears next to Quintan* i understand your concerns...*Quintan notices that Phearis is sweating slightly and his hair is actually fully silver flame* these 2....no rather these 5 beings rather....normally the Noboru and Meru you see are the dominant personality....but during intense moments it seems the other sides begin fusing in a sorts with the dominant personality...if things get any more intense i may have to retract my powers....

As the first few hits strike, Meru slows him down and grabs him by the wrist, tossing him over her shoulder as she then swirls her whip around his throat tossing him into a nearby lake.

Emru...? Take it easy!
I won't kill him dammit...I can't...we can't...remember what the teachers said.
He'll be fine in the end so chill out.

Meru touches the water in the lake and then holds up Noboru forcing some water down his throat.
"I put something in your mouth earlier..." she threw him to the ground.
"It was a seed..." she appeared on top of him.
"The largest tree in the world...which is a General Sherman sequoia...I wonder what would happen if it grew from inside your body...274.9 feet tall...2.7 million pounds..."
Meru sped up the growth of the seed inside him making it so that it sprouted and took growth on his heart. Making it impossible to remove now as she appeared a few feet away keeping him close to her.

Meru was certainly interesting. She was obviously not the shy innocent girl he had known, but most likely her other personality. There was only one thing he was curious about. Why use a whip? If she could freeze time, why not just freeze him and shoot him from a distance?

If he took his best guess, there were strict limitations on her powers, and that whip could be a way around it...of course, this was only a guess.

Then there was Noboru....not enough data. Yet.

As he was watching, he heard Quintan ask Phearis sit with him. Quintan seemed a bit more trusting of Phearis, or at they very least not as weary. As he observed Phearis, he realizes that he fully understood what was going on in the ring.

And then he hit himself. Here he was, going all inventor-mode on his friend, with no concern for her safety. While not to as great a degree as Phearis, he also understood the emotions in that ring. Death was a very real possibility, and even time can't heal all wounds.

While he didn't trust Phearis all that much, he was a more experienced empath...maybe he should get his opinion.

No freakin way. A tree in his body...

Quintan couldn't help but pity Phearis's condition to be so sensitive to whatever is happening on the battefield. Though Quintan wondered why if Phearis was going through so much stress with looking so deep into the fight why not stop? But Quintan kept this to himself.

5 beings? What in the world. . . So they pretty much have different beings inside of them, like demons. Well that explains the red wall and Meru's all a sudden non-shy nature. I wonder if the teachers are going to continue to allow this. Though they don't seem to care about anything they just alter time. Maybe if some dies they'll just reverse time to make it seem like he/she never died.. Though that's still harsh in my opinion.

Quintan just noticed that since this battle has started he has once munched down on a chip, the intensity was too great. But his hunger finally overcame his thoughts and began to eat his chips. Being a natural nice guy overall he couldn't help but offer Phearis some especially in his condition.

While offering Quintan couldn't help but continue to look at the battlefield. He knew Meru way more than he Noboru it was only natural for him to root for Meru. The "sparring" seemed so dangerous Quintan wish he could just jump and step in to help, this didn't seem like a battle a girl should be going through.

"Mmmmmm... tasty tree. Don't think that'll work though..."-And with that, Noboru roars out which doesn't even sound human and pulls apart his chest and rips out his own, still beating and now green heart.
"Hehehe I guess you can say my heart is yours to keep," and throws it at her feet.

Meru giggles softly.
"Is this a bluff?" she picks up his heart and squeezes it in her hand until the blood gushes down her arm.
"Mm...no fun...my poor baby wanted to take bloom..." Meru speeds up the time on his heart as it then decomposes and turns to ash in her hand.
"You didn't need it anyway did yo--?"

Meru's heart stops for a second.
Using...t-t-too much...time...
She coughed up blood.
Switch over then...

Meru's aura changes completely as she stretches and cracks her knuckles, the whip disappears and spiked cuffs appears on her fists and feet.
"Come on, Come on. Entertain me." she does a "bring it" gesture as she gets into stance wanting to see where else he could possibly go without his heart.

*Phearis shrieks as a massive burst of his Jinsei erupts around him, it briefly touches Jack and Quintan, as they momentarily feel the full range of emotions and sensations he was fighting, suddenly his flame recedes and he sits there with steam pouring from his violently shaking body* both....of...them....Jack pull back your powers...our sanity cant b guranteed if we use our abilities on these 2 at this point in time....especially yours after touching my flame....*he closes his eyes, as tries to steady his body*

Shit. While he generally distrusted Phearis, he knew he wasn't lying. As he felt his eyes lose their hue, he went over Phearis. A temporary truce...temporary.

"Do you need help?"

"Hahaha well hello~ It seems I have a new opponent." -Noboru roars again releasing shockwaves of energy that dries upeven the lake. His aura starts to fluxuate once again with the gold and red color sharing half of the the aura.
*Noboru then conjures up a long, jagged blade thats also covered in the thick red liquid
In a somewhat differnt voice that sounds more... evil if anything, Noboru says, "It's time now to play harder..."-Noboru manipulates gravity to the point where the earth is bending underneath him and appears before Meru and slashes upward three times before the second passes

Quintan quickly looks at the shaken Phearis.

H-hey calm down! Yea, just sit there and don't use your ability anymore it's killing you... like literally..

Quintan never thought that he'd be here now worrying about Phearis and if Jack happens to be the same as Phearis ,or at least by being an empath, he'd have to worry about Jack to but luckily it seemed that Jack already knew that he shouldn't look too much into the battle.This battle just wasn't right, if the teachers saw that it was then Quintan would just have to accept those terms but right now he didn't know what the teachers thought of this battle so he takes the negative stance.

Tch, one of you guys think it would be a bad thing if I shouted at them to try to get them back in their senses to see the reality of what they are doing?

KosMos: sadly those are no longer your classmates...
Nebuleuse: ive looked for 30 different possible outcomes...on 100 different time lines, and this is inevitable...
Both: unforntunately as gross as this is to watch...*they both look at you all with a serious and grave expression* this is necessary for their growth....as for Phearis and Jack this experience is necessary too for your growth...painful tho it was and is...

Nebuleuse: rest assured no one will come out of these injured permanently but this 1st leson will be burned into your subconscious for as long as i live...

Meru stops the blade with her hands pressed on both sides of it as she pushes him back with a small wave of the mind.

WHAT?!!

What the hell does Meru want me to do...? Geez...it's out of my control.

"Listen here kid," Emru tapped her foot impatiently.
"Come at me. Come at me as if I reaped the souls of those you held dear. I'm runnin' on a schedule now so end it, or I assure you...I will."

Damn radical teaching methods... Jack bet they knew his master, it was just too...similar.

"This is certainly a learning experience...in the cruelest of ways. I agree Phearis."

He didn't even have the urge to try and analyze them anymore...that was just messed up.

Quintan's patience was now pressing against his nerves if this kept he'd feel the need to stop it. It wasn't because he couldn't handle the highly gore like display, it was because this battle was senseless and lost all its meaning. If Quintan had to give another criticism he could give a whole essay on this one with the topic being them not able to control their inner selves or demons. Which ever one it was they needed to learn to control it not it control them.

Well you know what, a truce better come or my time to "spar" will be coming up very very soon..
