For This RP Creator-Chaest Skadi, KumoKittDawn, King of Nezero, and K.Dracone will be partaking in it as this is Part 1 to the story line. When Part 2 starts the story will broaden allowing everyone to join.

Syeria, a large flourishing city ruled by King Desmura. Syeria is known for it's charity giving and one of the few cities to have never run through rough economic times or any kind of monarch trouble. King Desmura's wife, the Queen, had died after giving a gift to her daughter when she was a baby. Ever since, King Desmura has become more of an angry king but he still rules his land in the right manner and treating the citizens properly. Because his daughter takes a close resemblance to her mother the King usually takes his anger out on her especially when she is seen speaking to Heiji who he doesn't want his daughter to be around because he is a rogue. The only bad thing known of Syeria is that the common thief Shoraku the "Snake of Steel Fangs" lives there. The king has tried several attempts to get rid of him even by violent means but his skill with his weapons is so adept that none of his men could stop him. The King hired a rogue named Heiji because of his expertise with the sword, the king saw Heiji as only a weapon for war and rough times. As a result he also had Heiji try to take down Shoraku but little did the king know that Heiji was best friends with Shoraku so every time he returned to the king he would simply state "Shoraku overpowered him like the rest." The king eventually gave up on Shoraku and didn't care too much since he was a thief and not a murderer. As long as he was causing too much trouble in the city the king let him be but if a guard did see him the king gave the command to always try to apprehend him. Syeria is a place where the sun shines brightly, it is always full of life and happy people who respect their ruler because the ruler also respects them.

Heiji walked along the castle walls of Syeria being his routine job working for the King. Every guard he came in contact with they pretended not to notice him, he was use to this low treatment but it was better than going to jail. After a couple of minutes he decided to go on his break he leaped up on to a ledge on the castle and sit there faced towards the sunset.

So this is what my life is like, being a rogue has trapped me in this mess.. Today seems to be a bit off I don't know why.

"Does it..?"

Heiji every now and then heard a voice in his head.. But every time he answered he never got any response so he assumed he was just talking to himself, without realizing it.

I wonder what Shoraku is doing, I'll go see him later when night comes.

Shoraku down in his hideout within Syeria left some items he found on his way out of the city inside for Heiji to get later on when he came by. Heiji would know when the items are for him with it being placed in a storage box.

Hmm, so i scored some more money, got a map, got some jewelry. Hah man those citizens in Volstrik are so easy to steal from. I should probably go there later on. I really won't need these map though, I'll leave it for Heiji maybe one day he'll think of running away from this place I can't imagine him liking being the king's slave for war.

He leaves the map in the storage box for Heiji as well. He goes over to his tiny stove and begins heating up lizard meat eating it before he decides to go out on more of his "hunting"

A small girl of 5'4 sat in front of a mirror as maids tended to her appearance to get her ready for dinner
with her father.
She had a small petite frame and flourishing blonde-pink tinted hair that swayed along
her hips whenever she walked.
Her skin was pale from never truly leaving the castle; her home.

"Lady Ruelle...why is it you seem so appeased?" one maid asked.
"H-Huh...?" the young princess responded to her name being called as if now waking up.
"Your Father has requested dinner with you tonight...I would expect you to be a bit more
excited," the maid went on as she placed the small crown atop her head.

"I suppose I should be excited..." Ruelle stood and fixed her dress as her hands
clasped in front of her and she walked down the halls to the dining room beside her guards.
It is as I requested...more time with Father...I should be...excited...
Her redwood eyes lit up as she entered the room and walked to the dinner table that could sit almost everyone in her kingdom.
She took her seat opposite from her Father and thanked the guards that escorted her with a polite bow of her head.

"Good afternoon Father," Ruelle's timid voice echoed across the room.

King Desmura, stands on the balcony as he overlooks his kingdom.

"A wonderful day in the Kingdom of Syeria. Scribe, tell me what the day calls for."

The King turns and moves to sit atop his throne as the scribe approaches the throne reading from a calendar scroll.

"Well sire it seems that you have a mostly free day, your only scheduled for dinner with your daughter and inspecting the troops."

"O? the rare free day...hmm so be it then..you may leave me..."

As the scribe exits the kings once again turns his thoughts pensively to his kingdom.

???: Stood at the topmost tower of Castle Asrin, and overlooked the wasteland of his kingdom.

"Finally, after 16 years the magic I've been waiting on has revealed itself...wonderful..."

??? Begins laughing as his evil chuckles seems to ring across the land.

King Desmura sits at the table as his daughter walks in.

[i]"Hello my dear, be at ease and enjoy yourself."

His face lights up with joy as she sits.

"You look more and more like your mother with every passing day."

He wakes up as he hears the chuckles of his master. So it has started...

A glance to the side revealed that his weapon of choice was close by, emanating a pulse resounding with the chuckles.

"Even you agree eh?"

He picked himself up, dusted the sand off of him then picked up his weapon.

A glance ahead to a castle in the distance revealed numerous sandy trenches in between.

"Let's go shall we?"

As he departed, vultures descended to the numerous dead bodies that he left behind.

Ruelle's eyes narrowed as her smile didn't leave her face.
Is that...really a good thing...? she wondered about looking more like her mother.
Her hands stayed clasped in her lap as she had lost her appetite.
She hadn't eaten a real meal in weeks...
Not that her Father would notice, it was rare that they had eaten together.
Ruelle's eyes gazed across the room at him as what had been on her mind, why she
wanted to eat dinner with him, was about to be put forth into the air.

"Father..." her timid voice rung out.
"It is wonderful to see you so well..." she greeted before addressing her wants
and paused and gulped nervously pausing to allow a new subject to be brought in.

"There is a small festival in the kingdom...you know...the one by the boat
ports with the tea light candles...? I was wondering if...with your permission...
I could go with Heiji?" she asked rather quickly as if trying to mask the question altogether.

Heiji leaped off from the edge of the castle down to the bottom walking around the castle waiting for night time to come. He saw some of the guards heading inside the castle, considering the time it must've been feasting time. Heiji thought about going in to the room where the guards ate but he thought differently, he didn't want to feel even more like an outcast in this place.

Man people say being able to live in the castle is one of the best things. If they were living my life right now I'm sure they'd see it otherwise. I have no friends here, not even someone I can find to talk to without them looking at me oddly. If magic was real I'd so want to have the magic ability to put people to sleep. I want to go see Shoraku, hopefully he's not out late I need to talk to someone, other than myself...

He sighs and stretches afterwards finding a tree which he then leaps and sits on a branch comfortably looking up at the clouds

The king pauses momentarily as all the color drains from his face. However soon his paleness is replaced by a red fever like blush across his face.

"What?! You dare ask me such a ridiculous question! I will not allow such an act to take place in my kingdom!"

The king stands and slams his hand down on the table in fury, causing the wood to creak.

"I did not hire that wretched boy, so he could become your friend! I hired him to protect you thats all!"

King Desmura turns around and storms from the dining hall in a rage.

Ruelle's face lost all of it's color, (or what was left) as she jolted upright in her seat
in response to her Father's anger.

Ruelle stood and ran following King Desmura as she nervously spoke standing
behind him as she stared at the floor and held back tears.

As if it weren't hard to speak with him already...

"F-Father...I-I understand we are not meant to be friends...I simply asked
for Heiji to accompany me for that purpose...who else more fit to protect me at the festival
than the one you so hired?"

The King stops cold and turns to face his daughter, some of his anger subsided.

"Hmph would you have me believe that? Fine he can accompany you, however you will also be accompanied by 3 of my soldiers."

The king closes his eyes and expales a deep breath. His anger now gone he cups his daughter's cheek in his hand before hugging her.

"My dear, I do this because I love you, think not of me as a tyrant. It's simply that without you what do I have left? It would crush me were you to be taken from me."

A deep sorrow fills the kings eyes, before his original demeanor returns. He releases his daughter and turns with a flourish of his cape.

"Go and have your fun."

The king walks towards his bedroom.

After trekking across the desert, the red hooded man reached the heavily guarded entrance to Castle Asrin. He strode up to the guards with a heavy stride, as if he were far too old to be doing what he was doing. Then again, that wasn't a total lie...

The guards terrified looks only served to make him smile.

He reached the nearest slave house and politely took one of the female slaves without paying. A pink head, with fair tanned skin and green-blue eyes. She obediently followed him, resigned to the fate her owner had bestowed upon her. Virgins were in high demand...

His room was very neat. For someone who was supposedly a high ranking cold blooded killer, she would have never thought he had the decency to fold his underclothing.

"Find some new clothes and put them on. Stay here."

The first order from her new master... it didn't seem that bad. Even if they were a bit big and small in some areas.

"What about..."

He was gone.

He appeared at the top most tower of the castle, dressed in the same red robes, only weaponless. He knealed before his master.

"My lord, I have accomplished that task you asked of me. I also sensed your joy...why?"

He smiles as his servant kneels.

"It seems the magic that wretched woman hid from me has become active once more~ and soon it shall be mine. You can rest for the time being, I shall make preparations while we wait just a tad bit longer."

A light pink glows on Ruelle's cheeks as she feels a warmth in her heart
and her tears drip from her eyes.

She runs and hugs her father from behind (being a lot shorter than him with her
height barely reaching above his waist)

"I love you also Father...I thank you dearly..."
Ruelle didn't mind the much unneeded company,
she should have known she didn't get her "cunning" traits from
her Mother, but from her Father.

"Pardon me for interrupting m'lord," Ruelle's main maid stood at the doorway.
"Your bath is ready Lady Ruelle,"

Ruelle kissed her Father on the cheek softly before being escorted down the
hall to her bath with her maid.

The young princess slowly slid into the bath as her maid disrobed her.
The maid, Mina, slowly dumped a bucket of water over Ruelle's head
and scrubbed her back.

"Mina...?" Ruelle asked as she played with the bubbles in her bath.
"What was my Mother like...?" she blew the bubbles out of her hands
and gazed out of the glass window over the dark kingdom whose streetlights
flickered like stars.

"Your mother...?" Mina smiled softly as Ruelle mentioned her.
"Ah, sucha trouble maker she was as a young girl...always going after the
things that would cause the most trouble...she enjoyed the danger, and the
adventure..."

"I hear mother led her own squad in a few wars..."
"Yes...all women...they were victorious nearly every time they fought...
more kills than casualties every time..."

"So being rebellious was a good thing...?" Ruelle's eyes lit up brightly.
"Hmm...not always..."
"I suppose...for some it may be good..." Ruelle enjoyed the thought of
doing something she wasn't supposed to.

Everything she did was controlled by someone...
And she was not allowed to do anything that wasn't scheduled.

Mina drained the tub and dried off Ruelle.
"I am fully capable..." she mumbled.

"What was that Lady Ruelle?" Mina didn't hear.
"I said I am fully capable..." she responded a little louder.
"Oh I know," Mina smiled. "But one day you shall remember me for
all I have done..."

Mina helped Ruelle put on her pajamas and sat her down in front of her
as she brushed her long pink hair.

Ruelle's eyes slowly began to close as it was like a physical lullaby.
Her head slowly fell to her pillow as she began to dream.
A small light glowing over her heart as Mina's eyes narrowed.

"Why Milady...? Why did you give your life...? Was it really necessary...?
To bestow this..."gift" upon your Daughter...? Who is to say...if we could not
protect you...we can protect her...?" Mina shut the door and left Ruelle
to sleep as the light over her heart filled the bedroom.

All the while he had been away, she was preparing herself. To be taken by her master, to become just a toy. This was her purpose in life, nothing else.

When he did arrive, she jumped up and gulped. This was it... good-bye...

"Master... I-"

"Come."

EH? So straightforward...

"But... I-"

"Come to me."

How stoic... nevertheless she did as he asked. He responded by leading her to bed, then setting her down as he took his clothes off.

"Lie there."

...No... this was it...

"Prepare yourself."

She already had. That didn't stop her from closing her eyes in dread.

"...Do what you wish, Master..."

The weight of him collapsing next to her on the bed surprised her extremely. When he wrapped his arm around her tightly, she thought they were going for a rather interesting position, but instead... that was it.

The sound of him snoring was currently the best thing she heard in her life. But also the most puzzling.

Heiji sighs before leaping down from the branch as he begins looking around to see if any of the soldiers are guards or anyone belonging to the is around.

Perfect, now I should be able to go see Shoraku.. I just have to-

You sure you wanna' do that?

Heiji paused hearing that voice again, who he continued to think it was just him speaking to himself randomly. He second guessed and decided that now just wasn't the time to go see Shoraku after all night time didn't reach yet, going out this early could get him in a lot of trouble.

Guess I'll go do my quick search on the castle, it's feasting time this leaves the castle's defense down and bandits might want to steal something. Yep, I'll scout to occupy my time.

He jumps from floor to floor on the outside of the castle after running through each floor doing a quick surveillance on each. He then reached the highest point of the castle this being where the most favored people of the king were allowed usually just to dine or invited to see a play. Heiji doesn't run on this floor as he doesn't want to upset the king somehow. As he walks he sees Princess Ruelle and King Desmura from a bit of a distance. He quickly hides himself he didn't want the king to see him on this floor of the castle, he didn't really know if he was allowed up here scouting or not. Heiji assumed after coming to the highest point of the castle there were no signs of intruders so he decided to head back down to the bottom level of the castle as he waited for night time to approach. It came eventually.

Great night time! Now time to sneak out of here to see Shoraku.

Heiji escapes the castle through his normal means now heading to Shoraku's hideout which he arrives at in a matter of minutes.

Hey Shoraku!

He looks over his shoulder and smiles giving a wave in acknowledgment

Shoraku: Howdy there Heiji! How goes living in paradise?

Heiji: Hah, paradise? I hope that's not really what paradise is like..

Shoraku: Heh, hey while I was out I scored some things for you.

Shoraku hands Heiji a map, and some jewelry to sell.

Heiji: Thanks, I think I've only been able to go on this long because of you, your the only friend I got..

Shoraku: Hm, hey the king has a daughter right? She was born just a year later than you shouldn't you make friends with her?

Heiji: The king won't allow me to be around her, he doesn't trust me because of my past rogue status...

Shoraku: Ah oh well.. But Heiji listen to me well one day I might not be around, you can't rely on me as your escape from bondage, one day you will have to make decisions and one of those decisions is leaving that castle and this city. Being here is not going to benefit you.

Heiji: Y-yea I know.. OH! Hey do you think I'm psychotic if I keep hearing voices in my head.. or a voice rather

Shoraku: Heck yea! You truly are psychotic! Haha naw I'm kiddin'. You know something there's this myth I heard before about a Wraith placing his spirit in young males. Now that's just a myth so don't go thinking you have a Wraith in you I don't believe those things exist..

Heiji: Heh yea me neither..

Shoraku: Well you need to get back to the castle before some guard or soldier notices your missing, that would be one heck of trouble for you

Heiji: I guess your right.. Well have a good night Shoraku I'll see you later

Shoraku: Raises his hand. See ya!

Heiji runs back to the castle making it back no one noticing he was missing. He goes to his room which is small and not at all one of the best inside the castle. This was a room suited for a rogue. He dropped on his bed and looked up at the ceiling.

Wraith huh? Yea that's foolishness..

Foolishness indeed..

As the night faded away the light resonating in the room faded away as well.
"Mm..." she moaned softly as she rubbed her eyes and awoke to an empty room.
There were no maids...
No one to help her...
Yes!

Ruelle slowly put her feet onto the fluffy carpet.
She walked over to her closet and placed a dress on her bed as she took a bath.
When she finished, there was breakfast on a small table, she looked around to see no one.
She got dressed and ate quickly so that she could make her way to the pavilion.

"Where might Heiji be...?"
She was so excited about the Tea Festival tonight...
The Spirit's would be so lively...
Maybe she would even feel her Mother around...
Ruelle sat down with her hands clasped in her lap as she waited.

Daylight broke through the room as the slave-turned-teddy bear opened her eyes slightly. From the soft feel of the covers over her and the lack of warmth beside her, she guessed that master had already woken up.

Why...? Was she not... attractive?

The smell of hot food and the graceful rumbling of her stomach got her out of her thoughts.

"Eat."

She obeyed, and and finished the plate she was given at the table. Aside from that, she had yet to be spoken to.

The room was not bad, it was fairly big, and had it's own eating area.

"Stay here. "

With that, her master departed from her presence.

When he returned, he merely threw a pretty yellow dress at her.

"Umm... what is... your name?"

He turned towards her, with a neutral expression on his face.

"Aabal. Aabal F. Soreil."

Heiji's eyes begin to part open slowly as he awakens from his sleep. He lets out a yawn before sitting up straight on the bed with a little sleepy eyes. He places his right hand on his forehead and rubs it.

Ugh, weird dream again.. This has to be like the 4th time I've had that exact dream.

He gets out of his bed heading to his sink and begins brushing his teeth and looks into the cracked mirror in front of him and his facial expression seems to be filled with a bit of sadness. He shakes his head then continues brushing for a few minutes and finishes. He picks up his sheathed katana and places it horizontally on the back of his waist. Pushing the door gently he walked out his room and on to the castle gates he went. During morning time Heiji watched the castle gates. He leans against the wall as he guards, unlike the other soldiers Heiji doesn't show correct posture as he guards or is on duty.

I need a change of pace this is really getting boring, it's not like anyone attacks Syeria anyway I think the King is just being overprotective. I wonder if I should go eat breakfast, I didn't eat yesterday so I guess I might as well..

Hey solider over there! Cover me I'm going to go eat something,

Heiji leaves the gates having another solider take his spot while he heads inside the castle doors and begins to head up the stairs looking for where breakfast is being held. This would actually have been his first time eating breakfast within the castle walls. He normally only ate dinner and that most of the time was prepared by Shoraku. After walking around for a couple of minutes he spots Princess Ruelle sitting alone from a distance but not far distance. He notices that she is a lot prettier than he imagined he was only able to imagine how the princess looked because he never could get close to her. The king didn't like him a rogue boy to be messing around with his royal girl. He thought about going over to keep the princess some company but he decides it's not the best option, if the king caught him he didn't feel like being scolded and punished. Heiji sighed as he began to continue his walk in search of breakfast.

I wonder why the princess was there all alone, she's the princess after all I would've thought she had millions of friends, but I guess not. Hopefully she's alright.
