"Basically, by soaking it in a special raw energy for a period of time, these rods have become conductible to energy. And that's key with what we will do with it."

As much as he wanted to brag, he didn't have time. He needed his armor on.

Jack walked over to his personal work room and closed the door. A few minutes later, he came out decked in a medium thick blue and white armor, covering everything, including joints. He had a open helmet, showing the main part of his face. There was also a matching sword on his back.

"Now with this, I'm ready to go. Sherilyn? Meru?"

Sherilyn nodded yes, and gestured to the pink swords at her side.

"Ready as I'll ever be,"
Meru nodded nervously as she held Jack's hand with approval of
Sherilyn first.

It was just a flood...
She knew she could handle that much.

Jack squeezed Meru's hand. She seemed just a bit nervous...

He grabbed the rods from their energy silo and gave them to Sherilyn for holding.

As they walked onto the platform, he found himself being kissed by Sherilyn out of nowhere.

"For luck." She glanced to Meru, and decided to tease her a bit, to lighten up the air.

"Now who would you like your kiss from?"

Jack blushed. Only she would say something like that...

"A-Ahh...Sadly, I can't kiss on the lips or anything..."
Meru turned cherry red.
"My first kiss is...it's weird...b-but it's for my Big Brother,"
she looked away shyly.

Sherilyn raised an eyebrow. She glanced at Jack only to see that was nodding like he understood what Meru had said. She'd get the explanation later, but for now, she had to give Meru something for luck.

That's when she elbowed Jack, and discreetly pointed to her cheek.

Ok, Jack got the point.

They both simultaneously kissed Meru on the cheek.

"Now that we've all gotten lucky, let's go!"

After being forced to take a series of seperate baths to cleanse themselves of that aphrodisiac, they both successfully got dressed without jumping the other.

"You know Jack, do you always have to wear armor?" It wasn't bad looking, but it did get a bit boring to look at, even with his diverse selection of armor.

"It's very comfortable." He made them after all, and he would swear that they were more comfortable than clothes.

Suddenly, a message was recieved for Sherilyn. A message from the headmaster.

"Damn...looks like I'm being called up."

Might as well grab a delicous to-go treat from the fridge.

And she would've too, if not for Jack stopping her hand.

"NO SWEETS FOR YOU." He had went to all that trouble for sugar, and when he came home...he didn't even recieve any "sugar". Punishment was obviously needed.

With Sherilyn gone, now he could focus on what to do next, finding Meru. Now that'd need a new series of devices, so accurate and amazing that he was drooling with excitement with how to make them.

Which also reminded him to talk to Phearis about that data for his nanomachines. They were almost done, all he needed was that data.

Regardless, now he would-

"Master, I hate to ruin your fun, but I just found out that Ms. Hayama has been located. She is currently at the Tenshi Hospital."

A tear almost formed into Jack's eye. Not because Meru was safe, but because he lost his main reason to make something new...damn.

Oh well, Meru was safe, and that was good. But why did he have such a bad feeling?

"Make yourself at home, it'll take a while for my workshop to properly warm up, would you like some tea while we wait?"

The workshop was cold. Very cold. Why you say?

In his rush, Jack had turned everything off. EVERYTHING. Zero had to remotely start his home server! Phff... at least this'd mean the data could be analyzed faster.

::Enter Jack's House::
Yes a cup of tea would do me well... *Phearis sits and crosses his legs as he awaits the warm up and tea.*

Jack hands Phearis some hot green tea.

"Alright, just to make sure you know, I need a blood sample for your first set of nanites."

A small RC car zipped up with an empty digital syringe, with all sorts of digital outputs on it.

"If you would."

*Phearis a sip of tea* of course...*phearis takes up the syringe as he rolls his sleeve up. He inserts the syringe into the crux of his arm and draws a feasible amount of blood, before returning the syringe back to the RC car* that should be enough, correct?

"Yes. But now here comes the harder part... not only do I need samples of your hair, skin, and sweat, but I need to record a sample of your brainwave pattern."

The 1st only needed blood because it was blood dwelling, and all it had to do was detect and destroy poisons, along with minor regenerative properties.

The second... was weaponized nanites. A brilliant idea, even if they had taken a while to strengthen each individual nanite. All that was left was to test out the control system, and input the other data.

Zero, would you kindly?

"Understood."

The RC from before zips away into Jack's room, as another, bigger machine arrives with a box and sensors to be placed on a head.

"Alright, I'm gonna need you to put all of this on, then I have to ask you a few questions."

*Phearis takes a few more sips of his tea as he sets the cup down, he puts all the sensors in their needed places* you can begin, ask all that you must.

"What is love, in your own words?"

"Emotional brainwave response recording."

love...love is what love is nothing more nothing less. Can you define a mother's love for her child? or that of a husband/wife? It is the epitome of positive human interaction...

A unique answer, just like his brainwaves.

"Recorded. What is your reason to fight, as in what drives you?"

Hmph...Why do I fight? I fight because of survival. All living beings fight no matter what they think. We don't wake up one morning, knowing for sure that the next step we take will be assured. No. Such isn't a reality. Even more so for those of us with "special" fates. All of my choices leave me to certain paths. And no matter the challenge each path IS definatively a battle. That is why I fight.

Multiple brainwave types...good.

"This is good, you're giving out various types. Now, just one more thing. Tell a lie, if you would."

"Glad to see that was a lie. Now, this may sound a bit weird, but would you hurt yourself in some manner?"

If i must...*phearis extends his arm as his black weapon slips out, already in pike form. He stabs his other arm, with only a small flinch for a response*

Jack cringed a bit.

"Ok, that should be enough. I'll input this myself into the nanites, though this is a lot more data than I anticipated. But let's not forget, hair, skin and sweat samples."

He hands him a tube with a clipper on the top for the hair, a sponge and bag for the sweat and to contain the sponge, and finally a sharp scalpel with a bag for the skin.

*Phearis takes each item and sets them beside him except the clipper and bag. He cuts off a lock of his hair, placing it inside the bag before moving on to the sponge. The kanji for fatigue appears as a sheen of perspiration trickles across Phearis' skin. He wipes up the sweat with the sponge and places it inside the bag. Finally Phearis takes up the scalpel and skins a small section of his arm, he places the skin inside the bag as his wound heals.* i believe this will be sufficient... *He gives the bags back to Jack*

"It will be. I'll be going into my shop to input all of this, Zero will let you know when to come down."

Jack then proceeds to his room and descends downstairs.

In the living room, Zero makes an announcement.

"Any questions, Mr. Terivore?"

None at all, Zero. *Phearis closes his eyes as the kanji for every emotion and human response begins to cycle one at a time across his forehead*

Jack plugged up the syringe into one of his various computers, and started to send the data into the first set of nanites. He had already loaded the poison database into them before, this was the only thing left.

37%...56%...72%..89%...100%.

A beep was hear as a container lid opened revealing a plain syringe with an orange liquid inside it. The first set...not bad.

He sent out an RC car, as he got to work inputting the data and control system for the second set.
