:Meru Enters:



Wow...this place is so busy nowadays...
It's good though...
All the lives being saved...

Meru sat in the lobby of the hospital of the pediatrics ward as a little girl reached up to her.
"Mmm! Uppy Uppy!" she squealed as Meru brought her onto her lap playing with the toddlers long ponytails.

"Tehe...Meru-San...?"
"Yes Kyomi?"
"Sanku..."
"For what Sweetie...?"

The little girls eyes narrowed and shifted.
"You play with me..." the little girl laid her head onto Meru's chest.
"Even though I'm sick..." she whispered sadly.
Meru planted a soft kiss on the little girls forehead rocking her in her arms.

These kids...
If only they knew...
Meru sighed.
Cancer isn't contagious...

Meru looks over at the boy who approaches.
"Oh hello," she smiled softly as the little girl in her lap glanced at him as well.
"I saw you earlier, you guys do a lot of great work." she commented.

"Meru! Meru! The time!" Kyomi, the girl in her lap squealed in a whisper.
"Oh man! I'm late!"
"Hurry, Hurry Meru-San!"

Meru stood from her seat still holding little Kyomi.
"I'll see you Sunday right Yomi?"
"Mmhm," the young girl got teary eyed.
"I'll miss you," Meru nuzzled her cheek.
"I'll miss you more," Kyomi smiled through tears as she trotted off looking back at Meru as she waved.
As Kyomi entered the room and got into bed Meru through on a jacket and tied her scarf.
"I'm sorry, but I have an appointment," she bowed respectfully before jogging off.

:Meru Leaves, Shourai Mall:

Meru's eyes narrowed as she sat down in the lobby with her book.
Isn't there class today...? Should I miss it...?


I'll miss you more... the young girls voice echoed in her ears.

Since school started...I haven't visited her...
This is all my fault...!

"Ms. Hayama..." a young man greeted by the door.

"The surgery...it...wasn't as successful as we had hoped...you can come and see her if you would like,"

"Tomoya..." Meru stood. "W-What happened...?" she whispered.

"It was neurotic...nothing physical...
she's lost all feeling below the waist...and her reproductive organs are slowly starting to crash. We opened the skull to see if we could inject something directly to solve the problem...but..." his voice trailed off.

"We're very sorry...she should be awake tomorrow...perhaps it's best that, that's when you see her--"

"No...I want to see her now..."

"So be it then...follow me," he led her to the IC halls. (Intensive Care)

"It'll be hard to get someone as young as Ms. Aishitora adjusted to living in a wheelchair..."

"Tomoya...Kyomi will NOT live in a wheelchair..."

"Ms. Hayama...we've done all we can."

"I haven't had a chance yet! Don't say this is the end...as long as she
has a pulse...and her eyes can open...things CAN get better...I will make it better..."

"...it's because...you feel like her mother that you're saying all these crazy things..."

"It's not crazy! ...I was a Still Born...do you know what that is? I was born dead...
My parents were listening to Doctors...said it was the end, why waste anytime with me?
My Brother...Shiyoshi...he asked them to give me one day...Just one...My brother was 3 years old...
and even HE had faith in me...my heart jump started before dawn...So don't you DARE tell me it's the end...or that things are crazy...because they are! But when things get this crazy...it just makes it all the more powerful for a miracle to approach..."

Tomoya was speechless...he didn't say a word.
"Some of us aren't that lucky Ms. Hayama...don't give Kyomi faith in something that happens for
a minority...this is reality..."

Go to class Senpai...

"Hmm...?" Meru looked around as she stood in the hall and covered Tomoya's mouth.
I promise to be here when you come back...I-I'll miss you...

"I'll miss you more..." Meru whispered and smiled as tears formed in her eyes yet again.
"Ms. Hayama...what are you talking--"
"Sorry Tomoya, but I've gotta little girl I have to make proud! I'll be back later,"
Meru jogged off and left the hospital looking back at a certain lit window of the building.

"Kyomi...thank you..."

:Meru exits hospital and enters the school grounds:

:Meru enters and takes the elevator up to a new room led by Tomoya:

"Don't forget...no false hope..." he warned.

Meru's eyes narrowed as her heart raced.
She hoped that everything was a dream, and that as soon as she stepped foot inside she
would see little Kyomi standing beside her room window.

Tomoya slowly opened the door as Meru DID see Kyomi at the window!
...but in her wheelchair.

"I'll let you guys talk," he whispered and closed the door behind her.
Kyomi didn't flinch or turn around.
Meru quietly took a seat in one of the wooden chairs beside her.

What was she to say?
What happened?
How are you?
...I'm sorry?
No, no...Yomi didn't like pity.
Now she had cancer and was crippled...

"Well...aren't you going to say something?"



Think wisely Meru...
Meru took a moment before she spoke.
"...hi,"

That'll do it alright... -sighs-

Yomi blinked twice as she gazed back out the window, her nails
jabbed into her legs.
"Hi..." she replied back.
"Yomi, I--"
"You what...? Wish you could stop it...?"

Maybe speaking with a telepathic wasn't going to be so easy
when she was in this kind of mood.
What happened to the innocent voice and grammar?
...That sweet girl was gone I suppose...
All that remained was a girl, a victim of a bitter tragedy...

:Meru enters with Raizon:

The head Doctor, a friend of Meru's, Tomoya evaluates her condition.
They give her an IV and put some food through another tube.
After approximately 3 hours, they get her settled in and allow Raizon to go in.

"...mm..." she moans softly as she messes with the IV.
They cleaned up her wounds, and returned some color to her skin.
The room was small with no door, but a white curtain.

Meru's eyes narrow.
"I was kidnapped...and abused..."
Her gaze shifts to the ceiling as she begins to get lost in thought.
"B-But...it's OK! Because, well, you saved me!" she smiles weakly as she looks
at the man.
"I will have to repay you...somehow..."

Dr. Tomoya responds to Noboru.
"She was rescued earlier today from a deserted area. I haven't heard the whole story...
but she was low on nutrients and her body was banged up pretty bad...
maybe having some visitors would cheer her up and speed her recovery."
Tomoya is then called to the surgery department.

A young girl in a wheel chair sits outside of Meru's room.
"you...never came back...like you said you would..."

Meru's eyes widen as she over hears the males conversation.
"N-Noboru...?" she tries to sit up, but it tugs on her I-V.
"Ow..." Meru laid back down and sighed softly.

Abused...?
Kyomi wheels away in confusion as she looks for Tomoya
to hear more about the incident.

"No actually..." she giggled softly.
"No family...no friends really...I don't think they would be worried..."
Meru's gaze turned to the white walls.
"I would like to see my Classmates though..."

"Ms. Hayama?" A young nurse stood at the door.
"You have a visitor. A...Ms. Kaine...?"

Meru's eyes shot open and twitched as Ms. Kaine walked into the room with
crossed arms.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HUH?! ABSENT TO MY CLASS ALL THIS TIME!!?"

Teacher...?

"I-I...!"
"I don't care if you were kidnapped and held against your will!"
"But I was--"
"That's no excuse to miss my class Ms. Hayama!!"

Meru decided the best thing to do was not fight it.
"I brought you something,"

Meru's face lit up.
"How--"

Ms. Kaine set down 2 weeks of homework.
"How nice..." Meru sighed.

Ms. Kaine raises a brow and looks Raizon over with disbelief then laughs.
"Alright...I won't embarrass you further. Handsome..."
she mumbles softly and laughs some more.
"You want to see your class...? I get enough of them after 5 minutes..."
Ms. Kaine looked confused.

"I miss it...other kids..." Meru said softly.

"Alright...Grandpa (Raizon) and I have agreed to go and bring them all here."
Kimi (Kaine's first name) pulled on some gloves and grinned.
"I love hunting..." she said softly to herself.
