"Ok then..." Jack turned away from 'Noboru' and tried to start up a conversation with Phearis.

"How was your morning Phearis?"

"Noboru, Daisuke, and Zane. The class waits on you now."
Ms. Kaine stood and tapped her foot impatiently.

" Just get on with the class already, who cares if I dont eat the cupcake"

Ms. Kaine rose a brow at the rebellious New Student.
"The cupcake goes hand-in-hand with our lesson. And do not question my authority. If you cannot comply, then you can leave and accept your grade, which I assure you will not be a pretty one. Because in case you've forgotten...I am your teacher. And not your Mother, if you don't like it, theres a door." she said through a lovely smile.

"Now that everyone has swallowed their egos and their powers are sealed. We may begin the lesson."
Ms. Kaine began handing out white bags that were zipped up.

"Whether you kids have heard or not...
This world still has people who are human and despise our species.
The technology we currently have can take away our powers from us permanently, and even kill ...This school isn't for our hobbies...it's too learn, to defend ourselves out there."

There might be a war very soon...
And these kids have no clue...
But they may very well be part of the retaliation....

"Meru, last class, you used your time manipulation to fix a situation. Nebuleuse informed me...
Know now, that everything that happens cannot be simply erased this time. Jack...your weapons and armor will be confiscated till the end of the lesson. Mizuko, your dragon form is unavailable to you as well as any healing ability. Noboru...you can only take on the state you're in now. Phearis...unfortunately you have experienced this already."

Ms. Kaine touched the board as an image of a building appeared.
"In the white bags on your desk is an item. After we identify who has what, I'll pick two team leaders and we'll head to the training grounds to get this started."

Mizuko froze her powers had been taken away from her. She had never heard of this before not int all her years of being around. She had never been restricted to have no powers...She didn't know what to do...She was now like humans...

" Mizuko are you ok?"

"No...I'm like a human...this is horrible...they are useless and can't do anything" she said to Zane as she shook a bit.

...What'd she just say? Did she just say that his powers were sealed?

Jack tried to reach out to anything, even a vacuum cleaner...but he found himself not even able to find the channels of communication...he couldn't even feel the technology on his back...what was this?!

"MASTER. Calm down. She may be able to seal our powers, but I am still here, as a part of you."

Zero! Can you-

"No. The only way I was able to contact home was through your powers, with them sealed, I cannot."

Alright, I understand...Zero? Could you keep talking?

"Of course, master." Zero understood what his master was going through. He could always feel the technology around him, yet now it was suddenly gone...it must have been a shock.

He should listen to Zero. Besides not having his powers, he was far from helpless. He was a human, and even though he had no armor or tools, he knew one thing.

HE WAS AN INVENTOR. Nobody could take that from him, and no one will. If this crazy bitch wanted him to survive, he'd prove he could.

"In your words, 'damn straight.'" Zero would support his master.

There was only a slight problem...all he was wearing under his armor was a pair of shorts and boxers. Maybe he could ask to keep his cloak at least? It was only an extra resistant material designed to give him some protection, not real armor like the fake clothes he was wearing.

Jack raised his hand and asked a question.

"Ms. Kaine, I'm not wearing much under my armor. Could I at least keep my cloak?"

"Mizuko it's not that bad I havent used my powers since i've been here"

hmph.. *phearis breathes a sigh of relief* at least i wont hav another incident...*he looks at his bag curiously* this class certainly will b interesting...

Ms. Kaine giggled.
"Oh yes Jack...please do wear your cloak. Ms. Astrea and I have come to an agreement."

Meru felt so strange and out of place.
The seeds in her pouch took days and months to grow...
She couldn't feel the comfort of rewinds or slow-mo's...

"OK Kiddies, I will pick two team leaders who will take turns choosing the students on their team.
As well as survival, this is capture the flag. Whichever team has the flag at the end of the lesson will get 3 A's." Ms. Kaine smiled.

Meru's jaw dropped.
If she aced this assignment...
Her GPA could go over 100%! How awesome would that be?!

"I already have the Team Leaders chosen, but who would like to be one?
I'm curious." she questioned.

" I will help you if you need help with this lesson Mizuko, just relax and take a deep breath, everything will be fine, trust me"

Thank god...Sherilyn wouldn't discipline him for showing off 'her' goods.

"Master, I believe you're whipped."

To a certain extent Zero...and I enjoy it.

Capture the flag? 3 A's? Hello free ticket to skip a class. If he could get his GPA high enough, he could skip any class...at least once.

He wanted those A's.

"Thank you, Ms. Kaine. I would like to be team leader, but that's up to you."

brave choice Jack...this mental silence is disconcerting is it not...tsk tsk...these teachers irk me to no end...and i apologize Jack...yes i would like to meet up after to discuss...

"ugh...****ing class...can we hurry up and get this over with. *He crosses his arm angrily*"

Ms. Kaine giggles hysterically.
"The leaders I have chosen are..." she drum rolls on her desk.
"Jack and Mizuko." she smiles.
"Here is the twist however...leaders are only aloud to talk. Anything you plan to build, you have to instruct your team members to do. Any team leader who violates this rule will disqualify their team and cause an automatic win for the opponent."

Meru was sad.
She didn't really know Mizuko...
I guess there was always a huge fear of being picked last
for a group assignment.

"Okay..." she said and took a deep breath"Thank you Zane" She sighed and waited to hear who would be captains.

" Your welcome, anything to help a friend"


" Choose wisely Mizuko, pick the people who you think will be the best players first"

"I feel you Phearis...in a different way, but I understand. And ok."

Not being able to feel technology was a different form of mental silence, but he had Zero to help him.

Wait... WHAT?!

Jack couldn't help but glare at Ms. Kaine.

"That's an interesting set of restrictions you have there, Ms. Kaine. Who picks first?"

Sherilyn probably told her about him...there goes that card.

"It's only fair master..."

But she hadn't taken all of them. He still held some cards...
